Stanley Park

A must-visit in Vancouver. You can walk or bike around the Seawall, which offers stunning views of the water, mountains, and skyline. If you’re into nature, there are lovely trails through the park’s forested areas, or you can visit the Vancouver Aquarium inside the park. 

Granville Island

Granville Island is full of art galleries, local shops, restaurants, and the famous Granville Island Public Market. You can also enjoy a craft beer at one of the local breweries or catch live music and performances at the Granville Island Theatre. You can access Granville Island walking or by a short Aquabus ride from downtown. 

Vancouver Seawall & False Creek

Walk or cycle the Vancouver Seawall, which stretches for miles along the waterfront, offering beautiful views of the city, mountains, and ocean. If you have time, rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard to explore False Creek or take a short ferry ride between different waterfront neighborhoods. 

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge for a unique experience in nature. The 137-meter bridge spans a lush rainforest and offers great views of the surrounding area. 

Kitsilano Beach (Kits Beach)

If the weather is warm, head to Kits Beach to relax and enjoy the sun with amazing views of the ocean and mountains. There are volleyball courts, swimming areas, and a lively beachside vibe.

Visit Gastown

Wander through Gastown to see the historic cobblestone streets and visit the famous Steam Clock, check the unique boutiques, vintage shops, and local cafes in Gastown 

 

Vancouver Art Gallery

If you are an art lover, the Vancouver Art Gallery, located in downtown, is a great stop. It features a wide range of exhibitions, including works by local artists and international collections.

Queen Elizabeth Park & Bloedel Conservatory

Queen Elizabeth Park, known for its beautifully manicured gardens and stunning views of the city skyline. Inside the Bloedel Conservatory, you’ll find exotic plants and tropical birds. 

Day Trip to the Sea-to-Sky Highway

If you have a whole day to spare, drive or take a tour along the Sea-to-Sky Highway, which stretches from Vancouver to Whistler. Along the way, you can stop at Shannon Falls and Sea-to-Sky Gondola for incredible views, and continue all the way to Whistler for hiking, shopping, or sightseeing. 

Science World

For science enthusiasts, visit Science World, an interactive museum that’s fun and educational for all ages. It features exhibits on science, technology, and the environment, and it’s located right on the waterfront near the conference center.
