We invite passionate members of the biomechanics community to contribute to the Congress by organizing a 60 min session that highlights their expertise, fosters collaboration, and showcases cutting-edge advancements in biomechanics. We are looking for emerging, popular or trending topics as well as content addressing specific populations, or any other topics not covered in the main program. 

We welcome proposals for sessions and workshops that are interactive and engaging. 

Whether you are an individual with a great idea or a society, whether new or long-established, we invite you to contribute to WCB2026 by submitting a proposal!

All proposals must be submitted online (click the button below). Session space is limited, and it is possible that not all proposals can be accommodated.

What to Include in Your 60-Minute Session Proposal

  • Session Title: A concise and engaging title that reflects the focus of the session. It will be the organizer’s responsibility to make all arrangements for the session including speaker arrangements.
  • Session Theme: A brief description of the session’s topic which should be emerging, popular or trendy or addressing specific populations.
  • Proposed Speakers: A list of potential speakers, including their affiliations and expertise. Please aim for diversity in representation (e.g., geographical, gender, career stage).
  • Session Format: Indicate the preferred format (e.g., panel discussion, lecture) and any special requirements. All sessions will be 60 minutes. Engaging and interactive session proposals will be given priority.
  • Target Audience: Identify the primary audience for your session.

Organization and Financial Support

The Congress will provide a session room including basic audio visual equipment for the session.  It will be the organizer’s responsibility to make all arrangements for the session including speaker arrangements. Anyone attending the session including speakers must be registered for the WCB 2026 Congress. 

The Congress is not able to provide any financial support for speakers or additional equipment. 

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be assessed based on the following criteria. The proposed content must:

  • Focus on an emerging, popular, or trending topic or
  • Address specific target populations or
  • Cover a subject not already included in the program
  • Diversity of speakers and viewpoints
  • Potential to attract and engage a wide and active audience

Important Things to Note Before Submitting a Proposal

    • The session will be listed in the program on the website, mobile app and in all official Congress materials, however, you are encouraged to personally invite people to attend the session. Anyone attending the session including your invited speakers will have to be registered for the WCB 2026 Congress.
    • Session space is limited, and it is possible that not all proposals can be accommodated.
    • The final agenda for inclusion in the onsite materials must be submitted to the Congress Secretariat no later than April 24, 2026.  
    • Industry is not permitted to submit proposals. Any companies interested in hosting a session, please contact wcb2026@icsevents.com.
